This itinerary allows you to visit the towns of Belchite and Lécera, as well as the Mojón del Lobo, one of the best viewpoints in the region and an important artillery emplacement during the Civil War.
The route begins by crossing the Aguasvivas riverbed, after which it climbs through fields of crops until it reaches Lécera. From there, it continues in the direction of Vinaceite, and before reaching the town, it turns to head west. There it begins a long ascent that leads to Mojón del Lobo after crossing the A-222 road and crossing a stretch of the A-1506. From the viewpoint, it is time to descend to the Aguasvivas riverbed, which we will follow until we reach the old railway that leads back to Belchite.
It is essential to carry water. The only fountains on the route are in Belchite and Lécera.
Avoid days of cierzo (strong wind from the west) and where you might experience too much sun exposure.
The route can be started in either of the two towns.
