We propose a complete "tour" of the Campo de Belchite region: a two-stage circular route, suitable for bikepacking, which covers most of its towns and villages. The route can be started in any of the towns that are crossed.
From Lécera, a long and steep ascent in a westerly direction leads to the vicinity of the Moneva reservoir. Surrounded at all times by crops, the route passes through the towns of Moneva, Moyuela and Azuara. To go from Azuara to Fuendetodos, we find the biggest climb of the stage, the ascent to the Entredicho hill. From Fuendetodos, the descent continues towards the pine forests of Valmadrid, where the last pass awaits us before the end of the route.
It is essential to carry water. The only fountains on the route are in the towns it passes by.
Avoid days of cierzo (strong wind from the west) and where you might experience too much sun exposure (e.g. maximum summer sun)
In the final section of the route (km 67.5) there is an uphill section of trail about 300 m long where it is necessary to get off the bike to overcome some technical steps.
